February is almost over, and it's been our best month so far! Thank you for your orders, your support on social media, and giving us the opportunity to be one of your go-to places for comics. These past few months have been a great experience and I'm truly thrilled to see this store growing.
In case you missed it, I have sunset the "Buy 3+ Get 10% Off Order" promo we were running and replaced it with a new promo "Buy 5 New Comics, Get 1 Free". This promo stacks: so, you buy 10, you get 2 free, etc. It applies to all New Comics, including our Recent Back Issue bin ($2-$3 New Comics). I don't know how long this promo is going to last, so feel free to stock up.
Since promos come and go, I wanted to implement a Loyalty Program to reward the people who have been coming back for several orders. I've set up smile.io which is fairly boilerplate when it comes to loyalty programs. It's simple, it works, and I like it. Every dollar you spend (including shipping) earns you 5 points. Every 100 points earns you $1.00 that you can redeem on a future order.
Right now, I've got it set to cap at $10. You can earn more than $10, but only redeem $10 at a time. These are uncharted waters for me, so I want to see how it all works out a bit. The needle may have to move in one direction or the other.
It's important to mention that this loyalty program does not automatically apply to eBay orders. Please let me know if you came here by way of our eBay store and have made purchases on there. You will need to create an account on this site (this happens automatically when you place an order too). I will look up your order(s) and apply any valid points to your store account.
Not much else to report except that I'm slacking on adding back issues to the site. We're also going to be selling at shows in April and May. More info to come on that!
