Darth Maul Red, Black and White

I am glad that Star Wars has continued Darth Maul's story. Maul never seemed to be completely onboard with Palpatine in episode 1 of the film, but was deliberately left mysterious.

Unfortunately, when audiences are left to assume who a character is, it is not the most complex image that is often developed.

This comic gives a sense that Maul served Palpatine, but never fully trusted him, and had his own unique vision of the Sith's purpose.

And although the Sith vision is ultimately selfish and ruthless, the world of space and intergalactic warfare is not exactly the most fair environment.
