Originally created as Qu's thesis project for her MFA in Illustration Practice at MICA, it's a joy to be bringing this collection of insightful and subtly magnificent silent comics to English readers, as it has only been published in China. This edition of Slices of Life includes process backmatter originally from Qu’s making-of zine. We may differ from each other in millions of ways, however, when a single moment connects our lives, then in that slice, there are no differences; there is just me and you.
